DIY Valentine Paper Wreath

This Valentine wreath can be made into any Holiday theme. It is original and will prompt comments when friends and even strangers come to your door.

Materials Needed

  • 8 12X12 sheets of scrapbook paper. Be sure to buy at Michael’s or Joannes when such sheets are on sale. 4 for $1 or such price will make this project very affordable.
  • cardboard for backing.
  • Glue

I also have a Halloween paper wreath and a general spring wreath of the same design. You can add whatever suits you between the folds. A gallery of more examples at the end of the scroll.

Origami Fold for Paper Wreath

Click Tiles and “i” when the window opens for Descriptions.

The first two pieces are glued in this red illustration. The dark lower area is the next glue application. As you add the tiles the hexagon forms in the center.

Cutting a Support Ring

Find a used shipping box for making the cardboard ring. Trace the inside opening of your wreath.

Using a blade tool cut it out about in inch bigger than your tracing.

Center anything round over your cut out and trace. Cut the circle out.

The finished ring looks like this one when complete. At this point before gluing down use a hole punch to tie a ribbon hanger on. Now glue it down.

This pack of red paper will make 3 Wreaths. Invite 2 friends and have a wreath making party.
